Castaway is the first main quest in Outward.

Walkthrough

This simple quest has three ways to be completed:

• Sleep in a bedroll near Yzan
• Fall in combat to a Hyena
• Use the Stuck command

To Collect All Items

1. Pick up the 4 Makeshift Torches and Tattered Attire while running
   • Optionally collect Gaberries as you progress along the beach
2. Head down the stream on the left and pick up the Fishing Harpoon
3. Up the hill at the camp, take the Bandages and Bread
4. Drop below and loot the junk pile on the beach below Yzan
5. Take the Machete, and optionally run past the hyenas and loot the Hollowed Trunk by the back of the grassed area
   • The hyenas can drop Predator Bones, if you are confident fighting them
6. Down the stream in the Hyenas area (opposite side of the Fishing Harpoon), there is a Mining Pick at the end.
7. Sleep for one hour on the bedroll by Yzan (or suicide as soon as you grab the Pick)

Outcomes

• The player awakens in Cierzo, and Call to Adventure begins.

If "stuck" command was used:

• You will have severely burned Vitals. However, you can rest in the bed to restore them if you wish.
