General Dialogue

(#0) Alemmon: I assume you wish to learn magic from me... You don’t look like the type that’s interested in actual philosophy. (→ #1)

(#1) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: I want to train with you. (→ end)
  • 1: I’d like to talk. (→ #6)
  • 2: I’m leaving. (→ end)

(#2) Player: I’m glad you managed to rescue Oliele. She’s an inquisitive girl, and I’d hate to see her come to harm. (→ end)

(#3) Player: You’re Oliele’s friend from Cierzo, right? I know where Oliele is. I can’t go, Lockwell’s got one of his thugs stalking me. She’s somewhere in or near the old ruins along the Pilgrim Road. (→ #4)

(#4) Player: I’ve seen Lockwell’s house guard around that place often enough, and the night Oliele went missing, he was out of Monsoon. I’d bet a lot of silver she’s out there in those old ruins somewhere. (→ end)

(#5) Player: It’s a shame Oliele is still locked up in Lockwell’s home. I saw the incident and can wholeheartedly say it was self-defense. Lockwell’s just doing this to assert some kind of misguided dominance over the Holy Mission. (→ end)

(#6) Alemmon: One of my friends came back from a pilgrimage to the Chersonese, and saw a gang of Blue Chamber warriors. They’re camping in the old crumbling ruins along the Pilgrim Road. (→ #7)

(#7) Alemmon: While I hope they find safety and sanctuary in the Marsh, if they’re here to bring the war to Monsoon, I hope the Cardinal sends a Templar to re-educate them. Hopefully with a quarterstaff. (→ end)

(#8) Alemmon: Greetings, are you here to learn the art of magic or philosophy from me? (→ #9)

(#9) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: I want to train with you. (→ end)
  • 1: I’d like to talk. (→ end)
  • 2: I’m leaving. (→ end)

Purifier

(#0) Alemmon: What’s this about? (→ #7)

(#1) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: A group of people was attacked along the Pilgrim Road recently, were you one of them? (→ #2)

(#2) Alemmon: Yes, I take it you want to know what happened? I’ve already reported the incident to the Cardinal, but if you want to know, I can tell you. (→ #3)

(#3) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: Yes, talk to me about it. (→ #4)

(#4) Alemmon: I was making camp with Jael and Amalie when we were ambushed by several bandits with levantine firearms. Their initial volley caught Jael in the lungs. They demanded we disarm and come with them or suffer the same fate. (→ #5)

(#5) Alemmon: They took us up a mountain not too far from the campsite, and... Amalie made a regrettable move. She saw an opening and tried to disarm one of our captors. Things got bloody. We both tumbled into the poisonous swamp water under the mountain cliffs. (→ #6)

(#6) Alemmon: I managed to get us both to dry land, but by then the damage was already done. All I could do was close her eyes and make haste for Monsoon. (→ #7)

(#7) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: I think I might go investigate this myself. Thank you for the information. (→ end)
  • 1: Mofat said he was concerned this might be a plot against Monsoon. (→ #8)
  • 2: Why do you think you were attacked? (→ #10)
  • 3: You said they took you up the mountain near the campsite, right? (→ #11)

(#8) Alemmon: That would be surprising to me. Yes, this attack was considerably more aggressive than the usual bandit raid, but nothing suggests an actual plot against the Holy Mission. (→ #9)

(#9) Alemmon: However, I do agree that something felt off about this group of bandits. They seemed too well-armed to be the usual gang of thugs. (→ #7)

(#10) Alemmon: Who knows with these kinds of people. Usually we just get held for ransom, or they let us go once they realize they’ve taken a member of the Holy Mission prisoner. Something did feel off about these ones, though. Too organized. (→ #7)

(#11) Alemmon: Yes, the one off to the west of the campsite, through the root arches. There’s a large network of tunnels under it, burrowed by tree roots. I suspect the criminals set up camp in there. (→ #7)
