Dialogue

(#0) Anthony Berthelot, Krypteia Scholar: Ancestors guide you, [PlayerName]. Thank you for setting up an outpost for the Krypteia out here. It will be a great boon to us. (→ #1)

(#1) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: What are you doing out here? (→ #2)
  • 1: Farewell. (→ end)

(#2) Anthony Berthelot, Krypteia Scholar: I’ve been trying to track down a descendant of the Scarlet Lady that we uncovered through meticulous study of the Memories. There was a descendant that we killed decades ago, that the Memories suggest may have had an illegitimate child in Sirocco. (→ #3)

(#3) Anthony Berthelot, Krypteia Scholar: The trail stops dead there, though. I don’t know if he had a child with a Worker, or with one of the Nobles. And with the revolution that happened...Untangling that thread will be much harder than usual. Who knows, maybe my job was done for me. (→ #4)

(#4) Anthony Berthelot, Krypteia Scholar: I may be here for a few years. I want to be absolutely sure I eliminate the right people and ONLY the right people. Our job is to put an end to the Scarlet Lady, not to assassinate people for political reasons. We must be thorough, but merciful. (→ #5)

(#5) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: You feel pity for her descendants? (→ #6)
  • 1: Farewell. (→ end)

(#6) Anthony Berthelot, Krypteia Scholar: Absolutely. They didn’t ask to be born into the bloodline of a monster. But we can’t let them live. The Lady can speak into their minds, drive them to do things that benefit her. The only thing we can do is end their lives quickly and mercifully. (→ #7)

(#7) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: Is all this really necessary? There’s no way to make peace with her? (→ #8)
  • 1: Farewell. (→ end)

(#8) Anthony Berthelot, Krypteia Scholar: How does one make peace with an enemy who would only use that peace to prepare for further conflict? You cannot show mercy to a foe who has no intention of doing the same for you. (→ #9)

(#9) Anthony Berthelot, Krypteia Scholar: I’ve looked into the Memories, I’ve seen through their eyes what she is capable of. As much as these eliminations cause my heart to ache, I’ll do it if it’s the only way to stop her. (→ end)

(#10) Anthony Berthelot, Krypteia Scholar: Gabriella told me that you never had a chance to learn any of the abilities and skills the Krypteia have kept secret all these years. I think this one is a good place to start, it’s bailed me out of many close calls. (→ #1)
