Bag Overweight is a negative status effect in Outward. It is acquired by having too many items in the player's equipped backpack.

The effect is applied to your 
Movement Speed attribute. Equipment which increases your movement speed will allow you to exceed the maximum speed reduction and still be able to move, although very slowly.

Exceeding 34% over bag weight will produce no further burden, apart from the Total Weight burden.
Notes
- This effect stacks with Pouch Overweight. If both are applied, players will very quickly reach -100% speed.
Cure
This status can be cured by unequipping the backpack or reducing the weight of items inside of the backpack.
