Full Build Details

This build takes advantage of the DLC enchanting and the Legacy system to create some of the heaviest light armor in the game, giving you a blazing-fast brawler with elemental options that can take hits like a tank and move like a rogue.

-Defensively-
7 Protection
62 physical defense (42 at max Alert)
41 impact resistance
+5% move speed, -3% stamina cost and +30% mp cost
+unimpeded roll from Boozu bag means you remain agile, and can avoid most hits anyway. For big, unavoidable elemental issues, there's always Mana Ward in your Sigil of Ice.

-Offensively-
26 physical and 6 ethereal with 16 impact per hit (gauntlets do a one-two) with 16 impact.
20-60% cooldown reduction, via passive, potion and 4 Alert levels.


While each individual hit isn't terrific, the unparalleled attack speed IS, and will leave enemies helplessly staggered until knockdown once their stability bar drops. With Imbue Wind, attack speed rises to 1.44 with 24 impact per hit in the standard one-two strike.
This has been a very aggressive build, and the quicker you can get their stability bar <50%, the quicker the fight finishes. Basic attacks are sufficient for almost every enemy, and Prismatic Flurry remains devastating... and frequently used, thanks to a high CDR.
When facing up against larger foes, an initial setup of Sigil of Ice, or pushing and early knockdown via Sweep Kick to make a casting window will bring Frost Kick (10physical 60frost 110impact + slowdown) and Frost Burst (100frost 60 impact +slowdown and 4s invulnerable) into play as additional moves. The Slowdown effect, while not bringing any dps bonuses to the table, is very helpful in your positioning and will allow you to more readily flank your enemies.


-Gearing up-
Every piece of gear, excepting the backpack, requires Legacy inheritance, and at 4 pieces is outside the possibility of single-player; you need split-screen or a friend to get that 4th item, at least.
Orihalcum is made from the Black Plate set, sold uncommonly in Berg and Harmattan.
The Savage set is legacied from Bone weapons, Iron Gauntlet + 2x Iron Wrist + Predator Bones. I highly recommend making two for longer dungeons, as durability of 275 is an issue. I like the knuckles, but any of the weapons will achieve the 1.44aspd.
All enchantments (Light as Wind, Favorable Wind, Guidance of Wind and Primal Wind) require 2x Luna Incense at both East and West far positions and an active Cabal of Wind Altar in the region... which you will want anyway.
Alternate to the Orichalcum Helmet, try the Antique Plate Sallet with Economy enchanted if you favor a magic-heavier playthrough. Though not thematically consistent, it is functionally better and still looks good.
