Full Build Details

Intro: This build is easily the most fun build i have played in my 350 hours of this game. For all the builds ive played i found this to have a very nice progression and especially immersion for a Heroic Kingdom playthrough! The build itself is based around the Mercenary skill tree which, gives us the Blood bullet, we abuse this with a cannon pistol for applying confusion to combine a low impact weapon with enchantments from armor to reach a stunning impact damage. This does not only save you from buying/making or carryin bullets since blood bullet can shoot on its own but it also gives us a self heal aswell(OP)!!! Now the impact damage we do is suddenly alot more noticeable than without any debuffs and we can use other tricks to knock down our enemies. Basicly we want the freedom to hit as many times with our sabre as possible to apply rainbow hex, follow up with Torment and rupture and base game should be dead at this point.

It takes a little bit of preparation but it is definetely worth it! if you are looking to make a hardcore character i can safely tell you ive done this build 2 times on hardcore first with legacy options, then with basic options. And i gotta say i fell in love with the non legacy playthrough! Ive not yet 100% with it yet but i will soon when i have the time.

Ive put a full guide on how to get started with the build, basicly from when you get out of the shipwreck. Alot of details are in it, but i trust you enough to find food on ur own and make a few detours where you want :D

For the full damage potential of this build a legacy character is needed, but i would say you easily can get through the game with this build regardless of that. Scroll to the bottom section if u wanna see the legacy options.


Preparations: You wanna start out by scraping up some gold for the trainers, We start out with the simple off cierzo part im gonna provide this in steps -

step 1: Starting out... Get a fang long sword! use this to kill the vendigo in the south bandit hideout, go to ghost pass after, pickup all the spiritual varnishes you find here and save them! From here you wanna kill the Shelled Horror. I recommend having atleast 1250 silver for this part so you can get wind infuse from the cabal tower nearby, saves us a trip later and makes dealing with step 4 alot easier however optional.

step 2: Upgrade fang sword to Horror Sword. Combine fang sword with horror shell, palladium scrap and occult remain. If you have not found a palladium scrap yet for the upgrade, you can get one from blue chamber with a pickaxe, Now we are ready to unlock mana and in the process we are gonna need 1 plant tent so find the wandering caravaneer and buy one, if u are lucky he also will have master trader boots which you definetely should grab since these boots will be our main boots untill we have completed the faction quest!

step 4: Elemental Particle farming. We are gonna need in total 3x elemental particle ether. These drop from arcane elementals and lucky for us we can find a total of 2 at: Heroic kingdom + blue chamber conflux path. Once you have 3 of these proceed to learn mana and unlock the flamethrower spell + cool boon(important!). Now take ur lantern in ur offhand and we can both apply extreme bleeding and burning with our setup. Early game powerspike!

Step 5: farm gold before harmattan. Head to enmercar forest, after this make ur way southeast to caldera, run to friendly immaculates hideout North east, ask for storage, this will give us brigand backpack. Make your way back to Enmercar forest, go to cabal of the wind temple and kill 4 horrors using the lever explosion mechanic. Clearout the ranged mobs with ur newly acquired horror sword. Pickup thrice wrought halberd and all the chitins + predator bones. along the way get urself some palladium scraps, 1 outside temple, 1 near hives. Proceed to the hives and kill hivers untill you have 5 total occult remains. if u got infected get to berg and buy a fungal cleanser and a quartz potion if u got corrupted. Buy 5 twohanded iron weapons and turn them into fang weapons. Upgrade the ones you can for now into horror weapons but do not sell them here. Make ur way to Abrassar and hug the right wall untill u get past the hives, take a right turn here and kill a shelled horror with the flamethrower and extreme poison. In this area there is 3 palladium vein's make sure to get them all, which will put us to a total of 5 palladium scraps for 5x horror weapons.

Step 6: the blood bullet. Get to levant and sell ur horror weapons apart from the sword. find the mercenary trainer and learn his armor perks and all the way up to blood bullet, you can learn shatter bullet but it really isnt needed with our build. Go to the blacksmith and buy urself a cannon pistol + a steel sabre. Head to the slums part and learn sweep kick. Make sure you also pick up the warm boon from the tailor. Now we join the faction and since you have learned mana already you can do this by talking to cyrene.

step 7: Becoming thanos! Head to Harmattan with the levant caravan. At Harmattan the blacksmith, Bradley Auteil has 2 items that are cheap that we need to buy, Brigand hat + Brigand Coat. If he doesnt have them both, wait 3 days at the inn or by camping and refresh stock untill you get both. With our new equipment enchanting is not far away. While u are here learn jinx, torment, bloodlust and rupture + lockwells revelation from the hex trainer found in sorobor academy.

step 8: tourmaline farming: This is a fairly simple yet dangerous task. Here we are gonna need our spiritual varnishes to kill the galvanic golem. This golem has a high chance of dropping purifying quartz. Head straight outta harmattan and go to the clocktower run upstairs and deal with all the minor golems leading up to the galvanic. Kill the golem proceed forward, pull the leaver and get the chest behind the previously locked gate. From this you should atleast have gotten 1 tourmaline and if u were lucky also 1 purifying quartz. We are gonna need 3x tourmaline in total for this build so repeat this step with 7 day sleep reset untill u have 3x tourmaline and i recommend also atleast 1 purifying quartz.

step 9: More particle farming(grab another plant tent before this)! you can make ur way down south east to the destroyed test chamber, where you will need to kill all the arcane elementals for purifying quartz. Take the elevator down and kill the liquid cooling golem for purifying quartz and also 1 elemental particle ice which we need for the rainbow hex enchantment on our steel sabre later. Make ur way to the end of the dungeon where more ice arcane elementals are found and pray they drop elemental particle ice. - Repeat this step with a 7 day dungeon reset untill you have 2x elemental particle Ice, 3x purifying quartz.

Step 10 incense crafting: On our way back from the destroyed test chamber to harmattan we need to find atleast 4x dreamers root for following incenses: Once you get back check ur inventory, you should have ur hands on following ingredients: 3x tourmaline 3x Elemental particle ether 2x Elemental particle Ice 3x Purifying quartz 4x Dreamers root Craft 1x Chrysalis and 1x pale beauty incense using an alchemy kit: 2x dreamers root + elemental particle ice/ether Now craft 2 batches of sylphina incense 2x tourmaline, 2x purifying quartz and 2x arcane elemental ether Now do same for Morpho incense and replace ether with ice.

step 10 vendavel(optional but recommended for the sake of ur future food): Take the caravan back to chierzo and you will start the vendavel questline. Talk to eto and give him 3 iron scraps and one blue sand equip the set he gives you, buy one gaberry wine from the alchemist and go to vendavel fortress in the south. Offer crock the gaberry wine and fight him. Proceed onwards killing the remaining bandits at the bottom layer + the other bandit captain there. Take the elevator upstairs and offer the Mage to end the hostilities with Chierzo. This will start a minor quest to deal with her once abusive husband. Proceed through the ghost pass again and head far into the corruption untill you find the corrupted tombs. Inside here you will meet a stronger wendigo(her former husband) that you need to kill for the quest. After dealing with the corrupted husband head back to vendavel and talk to her again, where she will now award you with the preservation backback. This backpack should always be equipped when traveling through zones so carry it around with you inside ur brigands backpack.

Step 11 enchanting season in enmercar forest: Head to enmercar, and check which season it is. You can here check ur settings for the atmospheric fog filter, which will help you determine if its foggy season. If it was winter in Cierzo/harmattan then u are likely to hit the right season just in time when u reach it. Otherwise u are going to have to travel outside the zone and wait around 15 days then go back and check. Another way to know if its that season is to be in enmercar without any cold protection during the day. If it cools you down then u have hit the correct season. Enchant ur stuff, rascal's verve on brigand hat and body and rainbow hex on ur sabre.


From here your build is pretty much done, but we are ofcourse missing the shock boots. These can be acquired from grinding the golden crab at unknown arena in voltaic hatchery simply reset the dungeon with 7 days and keep grinding untill u got all the ingredients, this build shreds the crab


Noteworthy damage boosters for bosses: Chimera pistol - blood under the sun quest - see wiki for info start the fight with a preloaded shot to inflict elemental vulnerability Being defiled for more decay damage. If u wanna nullify the lightning resistance, grab the shock chest too. The technique opener after sweep kick in the combo


Legacy playthrough for full power optimization: Master Kazite oni mask with assasin enchant - 15% damage, 5% impact, +10% mana cost, fix with taking 1-2 more points in mana, always eat mana food Master kazite chest with assasin - 10% impact, 10% damage, -4% stam costs, if u wanna be more tanky use zagis cheset with oni mask. Ceruelean sabre - legacy ur steel sabre with the rainbow hex enchantment.


GAMEPLAY: You will notice many enemies in the basegame doesnt need to be hexed in order to die simply the blood bullet combo kills every bandit with puncture as the finisher, which is quite entertaining since it sends the enemies flying :D

When u are fighting multiple enemies i like to use blood bullet on one enemy and fire and reload on the other, this way we get confusion on both targets. From here u basicly wanna sweep kick one enemy and whack him to get rainbow hex on him. Kite around and pop torment, that enemy is now either dead, dying or nullified, focus the other one after. When u get hit hard, dont panic. Simply kite around untill blood bullet becomes available, give the enemy some space and use blood bullet. Ive used in total 2 health pots on this character simply because i dont have them in quickbar.

Food: Diadéme de Gibier for the desert: jewelbird meat + meat or alpha meat + cactus + salt . Blood bullet the birds in abrassar Spiny Merinque, kill sharks and hand their cartiladge into the food merchant in levant Alpha jerky, 2x alpha meat and 2x salt

IMPORTANT FOOD TO ALWAYS BUY: Poutine, Gives 25% fatique and impact damage up! Save them for situations where u need to get tired or just before a boss

For mana, eat anything: Turnip, star mushroom, anything u can get ur hands on. I often sleep for 2 nights with full repair/guard in a plant tent/luxury tent if im entering a new zone, or pay for the inn if u are a roleplayer to get the tired bonus.

As always remember to drop ur backpack before sleeping so u can slow ur decay!
