Call to Adventure/Quick guide is the second main quest in Outward.
Timer
This quest has a timer of 5 days, which begins after talking to Rissa. If the quest is not completed when this timer runs out, the player will automatically receive the "failure" outcome.
Walkthrough
Writ of Tribal Favor
The fastest way to save the lighthouse is by acquiring a Writ of Tribal Favor from Michel Aberdeen, who is stranded on the beach south of Cierzo.
Requires:
Walkthrough:
- [Optional] Talk to Burac first, if you have not yet obtained a free weapon skill.
- Once you have a Waterskin, something to sleep in, a backpack and weapon, talk to Burac.
- Choose option
3: "I'm going outside." and Burac will offer to teach you a free skill.
- Leave via Cierzo Storage, running through the cave past the Troglodytes, and off the one-way dropoff to the beach.
- On the beach, give the Bandages or Life Potion to Michel Aberdeen
- Watch out for aggressive Mantis Shrimp nearby!
- Return to Rissa in Cierzo
- You will need to head up the hill to the east, then return to Cierzo by heading north-west and keeping to the left.
Intentional Failure
The fastest way to "complete" this quest is by intentionally failing it. This is useful for those who do not wish to use the Cierzo lighthouse.
- Sleeping in the bed in the lighthouse for 5 days is the fastest way to intentionally fail.
- Make sure to grab all the items out of the house before you leave, as it will require 300
silver to be allowed back in the lighthouse again.
