The Hive are a type of enemy in Outward.
Description
The Hive are humanoid creatures which appear to be infested by parasitic hornets, which have mutated their bodies into a nest of sorts. Hive are commonly found at Colossal Hive markers, and as evidenced by these locations, they appear to be able to convert large environments into enormous, interconnected Hornet nests.
In some ways they can be thought of as Undead, as they are immune to Bleeding effects, which indicates they at least don't have any bloodflow that they depend on.
When the host body for a Hive creature dies, the hornets sacrifice themselves by detonating themselves near the attacker.
Common Attributes
Hive are commonly vulnerable to 
Decay and 
Fire damage, and deal mixed Physical and Decay damage.
They are immune to Bleeding effects.
