Dialogue

(#0) First Watcher: Welcome, mage. May your talent for magic only grow stronger. (→ #1)

(#1) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: I’d like to talk. (→ #2)
  • 1: I want to train with you. (→ #4)

(#2) First Watcher: Never underestimate the humble Spark spell. It may seem small and weak, but when combined with other spells or components, it can produce powerful effects. (→ #3)

(#3) First Watcher: If you wish to learn the most complex of spells, seek out Rune Magic in Berg. Only by properly combining them will you unlock their power. They are spells that require experimentation, but are flexible once you understand them. (→ end)

(#4) First Watcher: If you want a simple spell, I can teach you the Flamethrower spell for the price of 50 silvers. You only need to hold a lantern or a torch, and you’ll be ready to use it. (→ #5)

(#5) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: Deal, here’s your money. (→ #6)
  • 1: No, thanks. (→ end)

(#6) First Watcher: Smart choice. Rather than using Spark to detonate the air, try “pushing” the air inside your lantern. It will unleash a torrent of flames on any who dare cross you. (→ end)

(#7) First Watcher: So, you have come. I sensed that someone who had the potential for magic was on their way (→ #8)

(#8) First Watcher: If you wish to gain Magic, you must first give. You must sacrifice Health and Stamina to the Ley Line, and in return what you gave up will be given back to you as Mana. (→ #9)

(#9) First Watcher: Be careful how much of your Health and Stamina you give up, because once you have traded it for Mana, you can never get it back. (→ #10)

(#10) First Watcher: The first time you gain Mana, you will gain your first spell, the Spark. It may seem small and weak, but when combined with other spells or components, it can produce powerful effects. (→ end)
