Red exclamation mark iconThis page briefly explains how the termination tag works, and what it looks like. Before you start tagging articles for termination, you will want to read the deletion policy.

Terminating pages

Pages that users have voted to delete permanently use the {{Terminate}} template (see below) at the top of the article:

Fairytale Trash Delete.svg This article has been terminated. It will soon be removed by an admin.
  • You can check any vote taken on this article's Discussion page. Also make sure nothing links here.
  • Please do not remove this notice unless another vote is taken and brings about different results.


This template adds the article to the Terminated articles category.

Only admins can perform the actual removal of the page; they look for pages tagged this way to know what pages to remove.


Red exclamation mark iconThe {{Terminate}} template should be removed if a deletion vote has not been taken according to policy.
