General Dialogue

(#0) Levant Guard: Welcome to the Heroic Kingdom of Levant, home to all those who seek to become legend! What do you need? (→ #1)

(#1) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: Where can I get some sleep? (→ #2)
  • 1: Where can I find merchants and trainers? (→ #4)
  • 2: Who’s important in this city? (→ #5)
  • 3: Tell me about the surrounding region. (→ #6)
  • 4: I'm fine, thank you. (→ #7)

(#2) Levant Guard: The inn is close to the western entrance of the city. It’s the rounded building to either side of the star-plaza, with the lady and coralhorn deer statues. (→ #3)

(#3) Levant Guard: Need something else? (→ #1)

(#4) Levant Guard: Most merchants are in the middle of the city, the smith is south of the palace. The trainer is at the palace entrance, surrounded by training dummies and weapons. I’ve also heard that a thief is training people in the Slums... (→ #3)

(#5) Levant Guard: The king and queen are in their palace to the east of the city. Just steer clear of the Slums to the city’s south. There’s a gate between us and them for a reason! (→ #3)

(#6) Levant Guard: The heat’s merciless. Wear Desert Armor or take a Ice-Flame Torch with you. Stock up on water at a fountain before leaving the city. Ah, and use the open terrain to your advantage. You can spot trouble way in advance out here. (→ #3)

(#7) Levant Guard: Farewell. (→ end)

Messages

(#0) Levant Guard: Ah, [PlayerName], from the Holy Mission! Monsoon sent word for you. Next time you’re in the Hallowed Marsh, you should check in with them! (→ end)

(#4) Levant Guard: [PlayerName]! There you are! The King and Queen summon you for an audience! It seems like they have a serious request for you! (→ end)

(#5) Levant Guard: [PlayerName]! Cyrene said to pass word along that she’s got work for mercenaries like yourself! If you’re looking for coin, you should ask her what she has planned! (→ end)

(#8) Levant Guard: You’re [PlayerName], right? Word just came from Berg, someone’s looking for you. Check in on them next time you’re there, eh? (→ end)

Palace Locked

(#0) Levant Guard: Move along. Martial law is in effect. Do not cause trouble. Go about your business! (→ end)

Martial Law Interior

(#0) Levant Guard: I've been standing watch for so long, I don't feel my throat anymore. Why can’t they issue a few extra waterskins to us grunts? Gah, I’d kill for some water right about now! (→ end)

(#1) Levant Guard: Move along. Martial law is in effect. Do not cause trouble. Go about your business! (→ end)

(#2) Levant Guard: A follower of Elatt? How did you get in here? The gates are locked! (→ #3)

(#3) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: Elatt demands peace. Now, let me see the king and queen, or risk his fury. (→ #4)
  • 1: (Give 3 travel rations) There's a famine going on here, isn't there? I have some travel rations that will fill your belly. (→ #8)

(#4) Levant Guard: Are you... are you threatening me,? (→ #5)

(#5) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: Elatt is. He wants peace and he wants it NOW. Do you want to be the one to deny a god? (→ #6)

(#6) Levant Guard: Point taken. Here. Take this key. It will open the rear entrance to the Palace from the smuggler's tunnel. If I were you, I’d watch out. Someone will likely have seen our little chat and will have sent reinforcements there. (→ #7)

(#7) Levant Guard: Now, let’s pretend we never had this discussion. I have no interest in meeting a firing squad up close. (→ end)

(#8) Levant Guard: Dammit, I've been living on one meal a day for weeks. Why do you tempt me like this? What do you want? (→ #9)

(#9) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: Elatt wants peace. I want to see your king and queen. Show me how to reach them, and this food is yours. (→ #10)

(#10) Levant Guard: Augh... I'll do it. Here, take this key. There's a rear entrance to the Palace in the smuggler's tunnel in the slums. It's well guarded, so go armed if you want to live. (→ #11)

(#11) Levant Guard: Now, let’s pretend we never had this discussion. I have no interest in meeting a firing squad up close. (→ end)

(#12) Levant Guard: Move along. Martial law is in effect. Do not cause trouble. Go about your business! (→ end)

(#13) Levant Guard: I've been standing watch for so long, I don't feel my throat anymore. Why can’t they issue a few extra waterskins to us grunts? Gah, I’d kill for some water right about now! (→ end)

(#14) Levant Guard: Stop! The smuggler’s tunnel is beyond this point, you don’t have permission to access it! No matter who you are! Turn around and leave! (→ #15)

(#15) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: (Give Waterskin) Here, you wanted water? Take it and let me pass. (→ #16)
  • 1: I’m leaving. (→ end)

(#16) Levant Guard: ... Gah! Fine! I’m pretty sure you’re not a bad person after all you’ve done, and it’s not like you can get into the palace without a key anyway. Fine, go ahead, you can use the tunnel! (→ end)
