Red Idol is a quest given by Researcher Boye in the Face of the Ancients in the Enmerkar Forest.
Walkthrough
- Upon talking to Researcher Boye, you are offered 300
to retrieve a red small idol. - The red small idol can be found in a locked room after killing the The First Cannibal, a unique version of the common Wendigo.
- Upon finding the idol, it is found that the so called red small idol is actually the Scarlet Lich's Idol. The Scarlet Lich has an altar within the dungeon which players can use to receive an alternate reward.
Outcomes
Option 1:
- Return the red small idol to Researcher Boye, you will be rewarded with 300 silver, and Researcher Boye will continue to live a long life.
Option 2:
- The other option is to return the idol to the altar of the Scarlet Lady found within the Face of the Ancients. This will complete the quest and reward the player with the Red Lady's Dagger.
- Upon returning to Researcher Boye, you can tell him that the idol could not be found and that it may no longer be there. Researcher Boye will then choose to search for the idol himself and vanish from the game after 1 days time. In place of him, a burnt corpse can be found next to the Scarlet Lady's altar.
