Dialogue

(#0) Rufus: May Elatt watch over you, [PlayerName]. Can I help you? (→ #1)

(#1) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: You’re a healer, right? What should I be worried about in the wild? (→ #2)
  • 1: You're a priest of Elatt, right? What can you tell me about him? (→ #11)
  • 2: I’m leaving. (→ end)

(#2) Rufus: Do you have any specific questions? (→ #3)

(#3) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: What short term situations could make me lose the edge in a fight? (→ #4)
  • 1: What do I do if I catch a disease? (→ #6)
  • 2: Anything I should avoid outside of Cierzo? (→ #8)

(#4) Rufus: Many foes will infect you with temporary effects. These effects go away over time, although many can be cured with the right items. (→ #5)

(#5) Rufus: For example, if you are bleeding and losing health, a bandage will stop the bleeding and heal you for a short while. (→ end)

(#6) Rufus: You can brew or buy various types of tea to begin the recovery process. To make your own in the wild, you’ll need the ingredients and a cooking pot, though. After drinking, you’ll need some time before the illness is actually cured. (→ #7)

(#7) Rufus: If those options are unavailable, just rest for a long time. Have lots of water, sleep and food, and eventually you will beat back the disease. Depending on what you caught, it may take several days before you are well again. (→ end)

(#8) Rufus: Well, for one thing, be wary on the beaches outside. An encounter with a pistol shrimp may prove deadly. There's a reason they're so colorful, it’s to warn other predators away! (→ #9)

(#9) Rufus: Not only are they nasty up close, they boast a deadly ranged attack as well. It’s charged with lightning, so use potions and armor that resist this type of attack if you fight one. (→ #10)

(#10) Rufus: The Chersonese has game animals and plenty of trees for wood. Its water, however, has to be boiled first. Fill your Waterskin at the Water Purifier on the village beach before you head out. (→ end)

(#11) Rufus: As a human, he was far from perfect. He was supposedly brash and full of himself in his younger years. But he strove to improve himself day by day, and founded the Tribe Without Name, governed by the 3 Pillars the Holy Mission still follows. (→ #12)

(#12) Rufus: Then came the Scourge. Elatt, being a master of Magic, sacrificed his very humanity and became Living Thought, guiding us to the uneasy stalemate we’ve known for most of this century. (→ #13)

(#13) Rufus: The Five Winds we once prayed to were capricious. Elatt however... I’ve had the honor of speaking with him. He is very real. Having a god that was once mortal is comforting. He remembers what it was like to wear flesh like we do. (→ #1)
