Obsidian Elemental is a type of Fire Elemental enemy in Outward.
Description
A bizarre, monstrous Fire beast, which resembles a stag made of obsidian stone. They are commonly accompanied by Burning Men. They are most likely a creation of the Scarlet Lady.
They can be found in Abrassar, Face of the Ancients, Burnt Outpost, Stone Titan Caves and the Enmerkar Vigil Pylon.
Combat & Tactics
Obsidian Elementals are resistant to Fire damage, and vulnerable to Frost. They are immune to Burning, Bleeding and Poison.
It's ideal to keep in close range to prevent the Obsidian Elemental from using its fireball attacks that will deal high damage and inflict Burning. Dodging towards it right as the fireballs launch, or blocking its wide-range melee attack is the best tactic in this case. If you dodge towards a fireball, it will hit the ground instead of you.
While they are threatening with their high damage, their relatively low stability allows you to be very aggressive provided you deal enough impact damage to stagger them quickly.

- A volley of fireballs which deal 15 damage on direct hits, and 1 damage if they hit the ground.
- A sweeping attack which deals 17 and 17 damage.
