The following is a transcript of the Plague Doctor's dialogue.

Pre-Battle

(#0) Plague Doctor: Halt! Step no further, lest you put your life in peril! (→ #1)

(#1) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: Who are you? (→ #2)

(#2) Plague Doctor: I am known as the Plague Doctor. I have been monitoring your progress. You show potential, or perhaps you were just born under a lucky star. (→ #3)

(#3) Plague Doctor: I wish to see if your potential is luck or skill. I won't try to take your life, but I can't promise your life won't be at risk. So, what do you say, visitor? Will you take my test? (→ #4)

(#4) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: I’m not interested in your test, maybe some other time. (→ end)
  • 1: Your machines are full of Corruption! What are you doing in here? (→ #5)
  • 2: Bring it on, I’ll take your test! (→ end)

(#5) Plague Doctor: Notice how the Corruption in the pipes flows towards me. I pump the Corruption of the marsh towards myself and I consume it. When properly channelled, it can be a source of life, twisted though it may be. (→ #6)

(#6) Plague Doctor: This is why I call myself the Plague Doctor. I take the world’s Corruption, toxic to your kind, and I filter, cleanse, and consume it. In this way, everyone wins. (→ #7)

(#7) Plague Doctor: And trust me, after that explosion of Corruption that created these nasty "Scourge" creatures, Aurai can't be picky about who does the cleaning up! (→ #8)

(#8) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: If you feed on Corruption, how did you get by before the Scourge? (→ #9)
  • 1: How did you become a Lich? (→ #10)

(#9) Plague Doctor: The Corruption has always been here. It is a natural part of the world. I've never had a lack of Corruption to consume. In fact, the Scourge has made things harder for me. Now there's far too much Corruption for me to deal with. (→ #4)

(#10) Plague Doctor: How were you born? I do not remember the moment of my rebirth. It's actually rather impertinent to think you can ask such a personal question. (→ #4)

Post-battle

(#0) Plague Doctor: Greetings, worthy one. Shall I create for you a weapon of Tsar Stone? (→ #1)

(#1) Multiple-choice:

  • 0: Yes, let’s get started. (→ #2)
  • 1: Your machines are full of Corruption! What are you doing in here? (→ #3)
  • 2: No, thanks. (→ end)

(#2) Plague Doctor: Behold! Approach the weapon you wish for me to create and I shall tell you what is required in order to forge one for you. Now choose! (→ end)

(#3) Plague Doctor: Notice how the Corruption in the pipes flows towards me. I pump the Corruption of the marsh towards myself and I consume it. When properly channelled, it can be a source of life, twisted though it may be. (→ #4)

(#9) Plague Doctor: Excellent. I learned much from you. It has been quite some time since I've had a duel so satisfying. (→ #10)

(#10) Plague Doctor: I promised you knowledge, didn't I? You are a capable warrior, so to you, I offer to forge you weapons from Tsar Stone, the most precious of gems. It is an art long since lost. (→ #11)

(#11) Plague Doctor: Come to me whenever you wish for such a weapon, mortal, and I shall provide. (→ end)
