The Krypteia are a minor faction in Outward. They are a secret organization that has governed the Blue Chamber Collective for centuries, primarily by safeguarding the Ancestral Memories.

Lore
During Whispering Bones (Blue Chamber quest), the player learns that The Krypteia govern the Blue Chamber using Ancestral Memories, memories that are enshrined by several founding members of Blue Chamber. One member of Krypteia, the Scarlet Lady, has been leeching power from Ancestral Memories.
A member of The Krypteia was responsible for an assassination of a member of The Montcalm Tribe, causing open hostility between the tribe and citizens of Cierzo and Berg. The game's writer, Aegix Drakan, revealed that this person is known as Jalinda, and is a follower of the Scarlet Lady, who is also the woman in red involved in Whispering Bones. In one of the Lore Letters, an informant for the Sorobor Academy (presumably Helen Turnbull) writes to Headmaster Salaberry to inform them of this attack.
