Endgame Tank is a Character Build in Outward, created by lemmino.

Summary

Endgame Tank
This is an Endgame Tank build that gives you invulnerability against almost everything in the game. It does NOT utilize Exalted so you are allowed to die by falling off a cliff without wasting hours of gameplay.

Full Build Details

The Build was inspired by "The Highlander" and functions in a very similar way. Its mainly an improved endgame Tank that provides more beneficial stats than "The Highlander" with keeping the same benefits of beeing immortal to every type of damage (except Bleeding and Fall Damage). Furthermore I included a list of every endgame bossfight and which weapon achieves the best dps with providing the second best alternative for reference. NOTE: You will join the Holy Mission, but we use the Crimson Plate Boots, so you have to get them from another character - Lantern of Souls is NOT needed.

Like i said; the build is very similar to the Highlander in everything but equipment..so whats the point for the hustle of needing a previous character just to get the Crimson Plate Boots? Heres a quick overview of the benefits.

  • +55% Mana Cost Reduction instead of +10%
  • 100 Physical Resistance instead of 98
  • 68 Impact Resistance instead of 41
  • +15% Frost Damage

You also enjoy:

  • 100 Resistance for every Element (except Frost)
  • +34% Stamina Cost Reduction (if sleeping in an Inn or Luxury Tent)

Skills

Warrior Monk:

Cabal Hermit:

Kazite Spellblade:

Mercenary:

Wild Hunter:

Holy Mission:

Equipment

You mainly want to match your elemental damage to the weakness of your enemies. If the enemy does not have any weakness/ restistance then you should stick with frost, since you have an extra 15% dmg modifier.

Before a Fight

Bossfight Combo
Focus.png > Enrage.png > Possessed (skill).png > Cool (skill).png > Warm (skill).png > Mist (skill).png > Blessed (skill).png > Runic Protection.png > Health Recovery.png > Stamina Recovery.png > Water Effect.png > Mineral Tea.png > Elemental Resistance Potion.png > Gaberry Wine.png

This is the combo that makes you invulnerable to everything except Frost, bleeding and fall damage. Steps 3 to 7 are not necessary for every bossfight so just cast them when needed.

Boss Guide

For this section i wanted to give some rough numbers for the "best" weapons for every endgame boss (Unknown Arena). This selection does not include extra Debuffs like Pain, Elemental Vulnerability (can easily be applied with the Chimera Pistol at the start of every fight), etc. Also attack patterns were not taken into account - only the damage of a weapon + imbue + attack speed.

Kelvin's Greataxe can always be replaced by Skycrown Mace

The exact formula i used is:

{PhysDmg x PhysDmgMod x (1- PhysRes) + EleDmg x EleDmgMod x (1- EleRes)}+{[(PhysDmg+EleDmg) x ImbueY + ImbueZ] x EleDmgMod x (1-EleRes)} x AttackSpeed = "DPS"

note: See Damage for the full damage formula, and Attack Speed for attacks-per-second.

Closing Word

Thanks for reading through this build. Due to Corona i have a lot more time to "waste" with making stuff like this - i really enjoyed doing it and hope that it could help somebody finding the right setup to tackle the game. Its the "best" way in my opinion, but personal preference differs ofcourse. I really hope that i didnt forget, or miscalculated something :)
