Liches are immortal beings found in Outward, either as enemies and NPCs, or mentioned in dialogue and quests.
Description
“ | A lich is a being that has, through some intense magical ritual or another, entered a form of immortality maintained by powerful magic contained in something known as a Phylactery. So long as their Phylactery is not destroyed, they are completely immortal and will return to life no matter the destruction caused to their mortal shell.
Immortality, being separated from one's soul, and being perpetually soaked in Mana can do funny things to one's mind, however. Many liches develop unusual quirks or alien perspectives on the world around them. Their "condition" almost always leads to them choosing a life of solitude. |
